To Our Nevada Internet Customers

A Time for Reflection

New Years is a time for reflection. Many of us focus on what we are grateful for from the previous year, as well as set goals on what we want to accomplish in the coming year. This picture was taken in August 2021 at the groundbreaking for the Nevada Digital Transformation Project, which has aimed to bring high speed internet to all citizens of Elko and Spring Creek. At the inception of this project, we at Anthem were very nervous, but excited, to come to this area, plant roots, and invest in the future of Elko. As a mid-sized, and privately owned company, we knew the risks of this venture – but we also were very clear on the supreme benefit that this project would bring to the community, and we wanted to be a part of that.

Stepping Up & Helping Out

We have a history of going into communities that the big providers forget about, or don’t think are worth the investment. But, we have specialized in rural internet for over 25 years, and we KNOW the value that comes from connectedness to the world, from the places we call home. Fast forward to 2024 and we are now two full years into construction. We have had our challenges for sure – mother nature, permits, construction delays, and growing our local team of IT professionals has been hard. But we are SO EXCITED that the end of construction is finally in sight. We anticipate that by August 2024 all Spring Creek and Elko locations will have fiber in front of them! Because of our partnership with Nevada Gold Mine (NGM), we have been able to do this with no contracts and no large deposits by customers for construction. Each location we bring fiber to has a hard cost of over $1200 that in most markets, and by many competitors, is shouldered by the residents. We are very proud that we have been able to prioritize you, our customer.

Looking Forward

In the coming year we look forward to seeing each of you again at the Elko Home Show, or the Spring Creek Rodeo or the County Fair. We love connecting with you in person, as much as we do virtually through text or with our customer care teams. We want you to know that it is our goal for 2024 and beyond to ensure that you are very satisfied with your internet, as well as your customer experience. In the coming months we are looking forward to bringing you this monthly letter that will be brief, but hopefully full of value-added technology tips and tricks. We also plan on highlighting some of our Anthem Brand Ambassadors in the community as well as letting you follow the end of our construction journey. If you have questions on tech topics and things you would like to share, please pass them along!

Please know that we sincerely appreciate our place in this community. We are grateful for the opportunity to be in business, and to serve each of you. We wish each of you and your families health, happiness and prosperity in the new year.

Sincerely,

Jacob Larsen, Mike Ricks, & the entire Anthem Team
